Helene Demaegdt

CEO and Founder, GAIA IMPACT

Hélène Demaegdt is the CEO and founder of Gaia Impact Fund, a venture capital firm specializing in renewable energy. Gaia Impact Fund invests in and builds long-term partnerships with environmental and social impact-focused start-ups and SMEs operating in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. As an early-stage investor, Gaia Impact Fund provides tailored financial and strategic support to its partners.

In 2010, Hélène became a shareholder of a renewable energy company and decided to start the Synergie Solaire Foundation with her associates. Through this endowment fund, over 200 European renewable energy companies have provided technical and financial support to NGOs working on humanitarian energy access projects all over the world. Prior to this, she worked for 20 years as an entrepreneur in the retail sector.

Hélène studied in the US (Harvard University) and in Paris-Assas (France) and holds a Master’s degree in economics. She resides in Aix-en-Provence with her husband and 5 children.

David Nishball

Managing Director, DARLINGTON ASIA

David is the Chief Strategy Officer of Sify Technologies and the founder and Managing

Partner at Darlington Asia, which provides ICT related business development and investment advisory services.

David has previously served as the President of Airtel Enterprise Services and as Senior Vice-President, Asia Pacific, at Orange Business Services, Singapore. He also served as a Director at Bharti Airtel Holdings (Singapore), in addition to being a Board Advisor at Longscale, and Senior Advisor at Frost & Sullivan.

David’s focus is on new business opportunities, start-ups, acquisitions, market expansion, and growth strategies, in the Asia Pacific Region.

David holds an MBA of Finance and Operations Management from University of Berkeley, California.

John Dowling

Director, GOLDEN ELM INVESTMENTS

John’s career has encompassed Investment Management with JP Morgan in the US, UK and Australia, Mergers & Acquisitions work with the Bank of Singapore in Australia and Singapore, Stock Broking Research in Australia with Roach Ltd, Start-Up development in Australia, Management Consulting with UK & Australian firms, Commercial Banking with the ANZ Group in Australia. John still runs the Golden Elm Investments (formerly of Singapore) from Australia.

While now resident in Australia, he lived in Singapore for a decade and been connected to it since the early 1980’s with his establishment involvement with the Bank of Singapore in Australia.

Benoit Savattier

M&A Director, Renewables, TOTAL ENERGIES

Benoit has 15 years of experience in the financial division of Total, where he notably led the trading team within the treasury department in London. He was Total Carbon Neutrality Ventures' CFO and held board observer positions at Xee and MTPV.

Benoit has a DESS degree in Financial Markets from Universite Paris Dauphine, France.

Lindsay Jones

Strategy Advisor, SUN CABLE

Lindsay has a strong track record as Partner, Managing Director, CEO and seed investor in multiple international companies, with global experience in top-tier strategy consulting, corporate and project finance, investment management, renewable energy, and business development, for established as well as start-up/growth companies.

Lindsay holds a Master of Philosophy, International Relations, from the University of Cambridge, and a Graduate Diploma, Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Sebastien de Peretti

Co-Founder, JUMPSTER

Sebastien de Peretti is the COO and a Director of Qosmosys, and the co-founder of Jumpster, a Singapore tech business development company.

He’s the former General Manager of industrial companies as well as startup founder and early-stage investor.

Sebastien has more than 10 years of international experience in General Management, Sales and Marketing from Schneider Electric and spinoffs.

He has technical and business qualifications from Ecole Polytechnique (Engineer Master’s degree) and HEC (Entrepreneurship Master’s degree) in France.
