Our Story
In 2016, Sujay Malve had the vision of bringing clean, affordable and reliable electricity to remote areas in Southeast Asia. He founded Canopy Power with the mission of empowering remote businesses and communities through renewable energy microgrid solutions.
Defining Our Purpose
With the renewable energy industry emerging, Sujay noticed that most companies choose either the “easy path” of installing rooftop solar panels in urban areas or the “wide path” by building large grid decarbonisation projects.
“Remote areas” are underserved, although the need is critical and growing.
Identifying this need, he decided to focus the company’s mission on delivering renewable energy to businesses and communities in remote areas.
